Suurstoffi: Zug Estates plans to build second high-rise in 2016
Zug Estates plans to submit the planning application for the high-rise residential building on the Suurstoffi site in Risch-Rotkreuz in the first half of 2016. A planted façade is planned; it would be the first project of this kind in Switzerland.

As the online magazine central+ reports, Zug Estates will invest CHF 70 million in the construction of the second high-rise building, which may have a maximum height of 70 meters. There will be 90 condominium apartments and 2,500 square meters of commercial space. As the winner of a study procedure, the Zurich architectural firm Ramser Schmid has been commissioned to draw up the corresponding construction project. What the architecture of the building will look like, however, is still open. What is certain, however, is that the high-rise residential building will be greened. If the municipality grants the building permit in the second half of 2016, the first residents will be able to move in during the winter of 2018/2019.
On the ten-hectare Suurstoffi site in Risch Rotkreuz, a traffic-free neighborhood has been under construction since 2010 that will provide space for 1,500 residents and 3,000 jobs. Currently, the third stage is under construction with an investment volume of CHF 110 million. (ah)
