Uster: Building application for another Axa project
Axa Winterthur wants to replace the building at Poststrasse 5 in Uster with a new building. The building application for this was submitted at the beginning of February.

Axa Winterthur took over the building on Poststrasse last year in 2017. It is located between the two parts of the Uster core superstructureof which a part is currently in the final stage of construction.
The new building is to fit architecturally into this development and help improve the access situation and enhance the urban space, Axa Winterthur says. Baumschlager Eberle Architekten are responsible for the design of the new building.
A restaurant or retail use is planned for the first floor, while space for offices and practices is planned for the four upper floors. The new building will be constructed in accordance with the Minergie standard and will be equipped with a photovoltaic system on the roof, according to Axa Winterthur. Energy will be generated by a ground-source heat pump.
Demolition of the existing building is scheduled for the end of summer 2018, and occupancy of the new building would be possible in fall 2019.
