Bülach: The Glasi district gets a niu hotel
The Glasi-Quartier in Bülach will be the site of the first Swiss hotel of the niu brand. The real estate developer and total contractor Steiner has signed a lease agreement with the hotel group Novum Hospitality.
The three-star hotel in the Glasi district will have 131 rooms and will include a living lobby, an open bar and coworking spaces. A restaurant with outdoor seating is planned for the first floor.
The German hotel group Novum, based in Essen, is targeting a younger audience with the niu brand. The first hotel opened in Essen at the beginning of February 2018. More than 40 other niu hotels are currently under development or construction throughout Europe.
Switzerland's first niu hotel is scheduled to open in fall 2021. It will be built at the entrance to the Glasi Quarter. A total of around 560 apartments as well as commercial and retail space will be built in the new Bülach quarter.
