With this acquisition, the listed, internationally active Eiffage Group aims to strengthen its presence in the Swiss market. Hans-Peter Domanig, Chairman of the Board of Priora Holding AG, describes the French group as an "ideal buyer". Under the Eiffage umbrella, Priora Generalunternehmung can continue to develop and grow. Nothing was disclosed about the amount of the sales price.

Eiffage operates in the Construction, Infrastructure, Energy and Concessions/PPP segments. The Group has worldwide sales of around 15 billion euros (CHF 17.5 billion) and employs around 65,000 people.

The sale only concerns the general contracting company, but not the other Priora Holding companies. The holding company intends to focus in the future on real estate development around Zurich Airport ("First District") and new international investments, according to the company's statement.
