Markus Meier appointed new director of HEV Switzerland
Markus Meier will take up the position of new director of HEV Switzerland in late summer. He succeeds Ansgar Gmür, who is retiring after 18 years at the helm of the association.
Markus Meier (56) is cantonal president of HEV Baselland, president of HEV Gelterkinden and surroundings, and has been a board member of HEV Switzerland since 2015. In addition to his current political office as a member of the Basel-Landschaft cantonal council, he also holds the office of vice president of the cantonal council's building and planning commission.
In addition, Meier has worked for the Baselland Chamber of Commerce since 1993, as Head of SME Association Management and SME Services - since 2000 as Vice Director and from 2008 as Deputy Director.
