Implenia secures 100 million contract in Germany
Implenia has been awarded a major building construction contract in Germany. The company is building an administration building with an underground parking garage in Mannheim.

Implenia is to build the New Technical Town Hall in the Glücksteinquartier in Mannheim opposite the main railway station for GBG Mannheimer Wohnungsbaugesellschaft. According to Implenia, the contract is worth CHF 83 million, or around CHF 100 million.
A ready-to-occupy administration building with underground parking will be built according to plans by the Frankfurt architects Schneider+Schumacher, who won the general planning competition. The building ensemble with a striking, two-part high-rise building will offer space for a good 700 workplaces on a floor area of around 30,000 square meters. in an attractive, citizen-oriented service environment. In addition to the administrative offices, the buildings will also house meeting rooms, a daycare center and a canteen with a canteen kitchen.
Construction is due to start in August and is scheduled for completion in December 2020.
