Steffisburg: Start of construction on the Gschwend site draws closer
A major development is to be built on the Gschwend site in Steffisburg from the middle of next year. According to local media reports, the first preparatory construction measures have now begun on the site.
The Gschwend site in Steffisburg is to be used for four residential buildings along the Zulg and four mixed-use commercial and residential buildings along Unterdorfstrasse (130 residential units) and a shopping center with 5,000 square meters of retail space. The large-scale project is being realized by the owners Genossenschaft Migros Aare and HRS Real Estate. Completion is scheduled for 2022; it is already certain that a Migros supermarket and a Migros restaurant will be located in the retail areas.
