Lausanne: New Cocoon business park planned
CP Immo wants to build the Cocoon business park in Bussigny (VD). The building permit has already been issued, according to the company.
Cocoon is being built on a site in Bussigny in the Lausanne agglomeration. The business park will consist of four buildings and comprise 38,000 sqm of office space and 23,000 sqm of storage space. The development will also include an underground parking garage with approximately 400 parking spaces.
Cocoon was designed by Associated Architects' Office: three completely glazed buildings protected by a fourth placed along the highway. The complex is scheduled for completion by 2021.
The site is located directly at the A1 freeway exit and is served by a bus line of the Lausanne transport system. From 2024, Cocoon will also be served by the future t1 streetcar, CP Immo informs.
CP Immo sees good opportunities for the development, as the growth rate in the Lausanne region is above the Swiss average and at the same time the vacancy rate for office space is the lowest in Switzerland. (ah)
