Axa IM Switzerland: Ernst Schaufelberger hands over to Frederick Widl
Ernst Schaufelberger, the long-time country head for Switzerland at Axa Investment Managers, is retiring and will officially leave the company at the end of January 2019, but in fact already on December 19, 2018. His successor will be Frederick Widl.

Schaufelberger announces that he will continue to serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Zürcher Freilager AG and AXA Anlagestiftung for a limited period of time. His retirement will not affect his mandate as a member of the Board of Directors of Intershop Holding or his chairmanship of the Serata Foundation Board in Thalwil.
Already in July Axa IM Real Assets had announcedthat Frederick Widl will take over the position of Country Head Switzerland from Schaufelberger. Widl has been working at Axa IM Real Assets since 2011, since 2013 as Head of Transactions in Switzerland. As Country Head, Widl will be responsible for the overall asset management and project development in Switzerland as well as the management of the Swiss team. (ah)
