Basel: Lonza leases further space in Stücki Park
The chemical and pharmaceutical company Lonza has leased an additional 8,000 sqm in Stücki Park in Basel.
Lonza is already a tenant in Swiss Prime Site's Stücki Park, occupying office and laboratory space in the existing part of the site. The real estate company is currently constructing further space on the site: four buildings, each with seven and eight upper floors, will be added in two construction stages along the long building. One of these four buildings with an area of 8,000 sqm will be occupied by Lonza Drug Product Services, Swiss Prime Site announced. According to Lonza, 250 jobs will be created here.
Swiss Prime Site is investing 190 million in the expansion of Stücki Park. According to the company, the leasable area will almost double by around 33,000 sqm to over 60,000 sqm by 2023. Space will be created for an additional 1,700 jobs. As Peter Lehmann, CEO of Swiss Prime Site Immobilien, says, the existing long building and a substantial part of the new building are now fully leased. (ah)
