Coop pension fund invests in Park Innovaare
The Aargau Innovation Park Park Innovaare in Villigen has found an investor for the new campus in the CPV/CAP pension fund Coop.
The Innovaare Park is being built next to the Paul Scherrer Institute PSI in Villigen (AG) and is aimed at technology companies active in research and development. After an intensive round of negotiations, an investment contract for the realization of the new buildings has been concluded with the CPV/CAP Pension Fund Coop, Park Innovaare announced. According to earlier information, the investment volume for the project is CHF 165 million.
The new building is being realized under the management of the total contractor ERNE from Laufenburg. It comprises a total of 38,000 square meters and a usable area of around 23,000 square meters. Clean rooms, vibration-free research laboratories and offices of various sizes will be installed. The main tenant of the new building on Villigerstrasse will be the Paul Scherrer Institute PSI; the research institute has already signed preliminary contracts for 70% of the rental space. The remaining 30% will be leased to start-ups and research departments of large companies. The building permit has already been issued. Groundbreaking is scheduled for the fall, and the building should be ready for occupancy by 2023. (ah)
