Procimmo and Soleol build photovoltaic plant
The largest photovoltaic plant in Switzerland is being built in Onnens/Bonvillars (VD) on Lake Neuchâtel. Procimmo SA has concluded a long-term utilization contract with Soleol SA for this purpose.
The solar panels will be installed on the roof of Procimmo's buildings, which include Philip Morris. The system occupies an area of 52,000 square meters, and the output of more than 8.3 megawatts is equivalent to an average annual power supply for 2,300 households.
Soleol, specialized in the realization and use of photovoltaic systems, has invested several million CHF in this project and will ensure the installations as general contractor. The equipment will start in December2015 and will be completed in summer 2016.
For Procimmo, the project in Onnens/Bonvillars is not the first in the renewable energy sector. The company has already installed photovoltaic systems in Le Mont-sur-Lausanne (VD), Echallens (VD), Villeneuve (VD), Savigny (VD) and Aigle (VD), in Sion (VS) and Martigny (VS), in Neuchâtel (NE), La Chaux-de-Fonds (NE) and Boudry (NE), among others. In the near future, further installations are also planned at other locations in French-speaking Switzerland, Procimmo informs. (ah)
