Halter lays foundation stone for superstructure in Bätterkinden
In Bätterkinden (BE), construction has begun on the Ahornpark development. A retirement center, three houses with retirement apartments and four apartment buildings are being built.
Ahornpark in Bätterkinden comprises a retirement center - spread over four buildings with a total of 40 nursing rooms and 54 retirement apartments as well as a public cafeteria. In the four apartment buildings, 47 rental apartments with 1.5 to 5.5 rooms are being built. In a section of the site opposite the RBS train station, a commercial space will be realized that is to be rented to an operator from the healthcare sector. The development also includes a parking garage with 96 parking spaces.
The two- to three-story superstructure will be realized according to a design by the Bernese architectural firm Rykart. The property previously belonged to the Hubler family, but when the building permit became legally effective, it was transferred on a pro rata basis to the investors Senevita and the Visana employee benefits foundation. Senevita will operate the retirement center and the retirement apartments, while Visana is the investor in three residential buildings. The Hubler/Hug family continues to own a section of land on which the fourth apartment building will stand. The Ahornpark is being realized by Halter.
The shell is to be completed by April 2020, with the subsequent finishing work expected to be finished by May 2021. Halter plans to hand over the completed buildings to the client in summer 2021. (ah)
