Hiag: Rohner bankruptcy depresses earnings
The bankruptcy of Rohner AG will impact the result for the first half of 2019, Hiag announces. Rohner is a tenant in a site of the site developer.
According to a Hiag press release, the half-year result will be burdened with around CHF 45 million for devaluations and provisions that exist in connection with the bankruptcy of Rohner AG in Pratteln. The sum also includes the cost estimate of a specialized company for the dismantling of the production infrastructure and the redevelopment of the site in Pratteln.
Hiag took over the 32,000 sqm Rohner site last year as part of a sale-and-leaseback transaction. The property is located in the center of Pratteln and in the immediate vicinity of the train station. So far, no new tenant has been found, so Hiag now wants to tackle the development of the site, which was actually not planned for around 15 years.
The site developer will publish its full half-year report on September 2. (ah)
