Steffisburg: Starting signal for Scheidgasse residential development
In Steffisburg (BE), ground has been broken for the Scheidgasse residential development. HRS Real Estate and the St.Galler Pensionskasse are building the project.
The Scheidgasse development is being built on the site behind the current Bären. The project includes four apartment buildings with a total of 89 rental apartments and a connected underground parking garage. In addition, the farmhouse at Scheidgasse 4 is being renovated; in the future, it will be available for cultural activities, among other things, and will house two rehearsal rooms measuring 40 square meters and 100 square meters.
The first 2.5- and 3.5-room apartments should be ready for occupancy by the end of 2021, it adds.
According to HRS Real Estate, the construction costs for the entire site amount to around CHF 60 million, of which around CHF 40 million is for the residential development. The builder, St.Galler Pensionskasse, has purchased part of the apartments from HRS Real Estate, which is acting as project developer.
HRS Real Estate is building another project in Steffisburg: On Dükerweg on the current Gschwend site, the company is realizing a shopping center with a Migros supermarket and space for other stores, an underground car park and a residential building together with the Migros Aare cooperative. (ah)
