Villigen: Start of construction for new Park Innovaare building
Construction of the new Innovation Campus Park Innovaare in Villigen (AG) has begun with the official groundbreaking ceremony.

The official groundbreaking was celebrated on November 7, 2019. Over the next four years, a new 23,000-square-foot building for Park Innovaare will be constructed on Villigerstrasse. The building will contain offices, vibration-free research laboratories and clean rooms. The main tenant of the first phase of development is the Paul Scherrer Institute PSI, which will occupy around 70% of the space. The building is being realized by the total contractor Erne from Laufenburg.
The main investor in the new campus building is the CPV/CAP Coop Pension Fund. It is investing CHF 155 million in the project.
The Innovaare park was founded in 2015 and has so far attracted 14 high-tech startups to its first location in Villigen. By the end of 2019, there are to be 16 companies. (ah)
