Christian Späth (51) succeeds René Kotacka (57) as Head of the Civil Engineering Division. Kotacka has decided - after many years of leadership in Implenia's Group Executive Management - to take an eight-month sabbatical from January 2020 and relinquish his previous functions as Division Head and member of the Executive Committee, Implenia announces. Kotacka had been planning his sabbatical for some time, but had postponed it in order to lead the reorganization of the Civil Engineering Division.

Späth has been with Implenia since 2012. Among other things, he was responsible for the company's market entry in tunneling in Austria and Germany between 2013 and 2015 and managed these units. From July 2015, he took over the management of the entire tunneling division in all markets. In March of this year, Späth took over the civil engineering division on a global level. He will retain this function.

Kotacka has held various specialist and management positions at Implenia and its predecessor company Zschokke since 1988. (ah)
