Chur: Axa opens Steinbock development
In mid-December, Axa opened the Steinbock superstructure, which is located in the immediate vicinity of Chur train station.
At the train station in Chur, on the site of the former Globus department storeAround 6,000 square meters of retail space, around 1,500 square meters of office space, 42 rental apartments and a parking garage with 71 parking spaces have been created in two buildings. The two buildings have direct access to the train station.
According to Axa, all retail space and apartments in the two buildings were rented out before construction work was completed, with only one office space still vacant. Among others, Coop, Lush, Läderach, the Graubündner Kantonalbank, Vontobel and a physio center have moved in. Axa is also moving into the new building with two general agencies.
The construction time for the Steinbock Chur was around two years; the total contractor was Eiffage Suisse. The buildings were designed by the Giubbini architectural firm, which will itself move into the property as a tenant. (ah)
