Regensdorf: Residential development for the Zwhatt site
On the Zwhatt site in Regensdorf (ZH), the Pensimo Group is building a development with a total of 600 rental apartments.
A total of ten buildings are planned, including two high-rise buildings and a "superblock". The development is being built directly next to the Regensdorf-Watt S-Bahn station.
The study contract for one of the residential high-rises was won by the Redwood project of the Zurich-based firm Boltshauser Architekten, which envisages a timber hybrid high-rise. The plan is for a construction in which the access core, base floors and floor slabs are made of concrete. The load-bearing columns and beams will be made of wood. A photovoltaic system is to be integrated into the facade of the high-rise building.
Around 150 apartments are planned in the 75-meter-high building, with various typologies up to maisonettes. The residential units will mainly have 2.5 or 3.5 rooms, but 1.5- and 4.5-room apartments are also planned.
The first buildings on the Zwhatt site are scheduled to be ready for occupancy at the end of 2022. The first high-rise will follow at the end of 2023, and the second around a year later in early 2024.
In December 2019, the sufficiency pitch for the longitudinal building on the Zwhatt site was also decided. The jury recommended the project by Lütjens Padmanabhan Architects and Anliker Generalunternehmung for further work. (ah)
