Hiag cooperates with Tarchini and Beelastic
Hiag will market its IT infrastructure jointly with the Tarchini Group and Beelastic in the future.
After Hiag abandoned the project for its own multicloud platform, the area developer wants to operate and market its remaining IT infrastructure together with the Tarchini Group from Ticino and the Zug-based IT infrastructure company Beelastic in the future.
Beelastic will also take over Hiag Data's network infrastructure and network customers, according to a Hiag statement. The collaboration is expected to start in the first quarter of 2020 after the transfer of the network supplier contracts.
The cooperation with Tarchini and Beelastic represents an important step to reduce operating costs, which will continue until 2028 at the most - mainly due to contractual network obligations and existing customer contracts of Hiag Data. Hiag will continue the restructuring and realignment of the subsidiary as planned, the company says.
Like Hiag, the Tarchini Group of entrepreneur Silvio Tarchini is primarily active in the development and leasing of real estate. Among other things, it operates one of the largest data centers in Ticino.
Beelastic is focused on the operation of IT infrastructures, in particular private fiber-optic networks and data centers. The company intends to offer cloud infrastructure services via its own IT platform, using the infrastructures of Tarchini and Hiag. (ah)
