LuzernOst: Area manager Portmann resigns
Pius Portmann, area manager of LuzernOst since 2018, will leave LuzernPlus this fall.
The seven municipalities of Buchrain, Dierikon, Ebikon, Gisikon, Honau, Inwil and Root form the LuzernOst living area - a development focus in the canton of Lucerne. With area management LuzernOst, settlement development and mobility projects are coordinated across municipalities.
Pius Portmann took over the position of Lucerne East Area Manager in spring 2018. According to LuzernPlus, he will relinquish this position in the fall of 2020 in order to devote himself to new projects in the future.
During his mandate, the overall traffic concept for Lucerne East was adopted as a binding instrument for the authorities. It provides for the additional traffic to be handled by public transport as well as pedestrian and bicycle traffic.
LuzernPlus further informs that the position of the area management will be advertised in spring 2020. The company is looking for a person with experience in spatial and mobility planning and an interest in issues of settlement development and location promotion. (ah)
