Pöyry: Martin à Porta is new CEO

Since the beginning of the year, the Swiss Martin à Porta has been CEO of the Pöyry Group. He succeeds Alexis Fries, who is moving to the Board of Directors.

Before joining Pöyry, Martin à Porta was CEO of Siemens Building Technologies in Europe. Prior to that, he held various management positions at Siemens, where he was responsible for several countries in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. His career started at Electrowatt Engineering, which was acquired by Pöyry in 1997.

"Martin à Porta has a lot of experience as a leader in international organizations. He was chosen primarily because of his dynamic leadership style and his strong ability to work in a team. We are convinced that Pöyry is in good hands with him and will continue to develop," says Henrik Ehrnrooth, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Pöyry Group.

Pöyry is one of the leading consulting and engineering companies, is headquartered in Finland and has a significant market presence in Switzerland in the infrastructure, transport and energy sectors. (ah)
