Handover of the baton at Assetimmo Immobilien-AST
After 20 years of development and management work at the Assetimmo Real Estate Investment Foundation, Markus Strauss is handing over his position to Christian Germann in the summer. Germann was most recently a member of the Executive Board of Solvalor Fund Management SA.

Markus Strauss (63), Director and Head of the Assetimmo Real Estate Investment Foundation office since March 2000, is taking the opportunity of early retirement and stepping down from his position at the end of July 2020. "After 20 years of development work, I have achieved my goals at Assetimmo and am taking some time out to explore new challenges," says the architect and economist with a doctorate, commenting on his decision, which he has taken on the best of terms with Assetimmo's Board of Trustees.
His successor will be Christian Germann. The 43-year-old was most recently a member of the Executive Board of Solvalor Fund Management SA, where he headed up the Zurich branch. From 2009 to 2018, he worked as fund and portfolio manager of the Swissinvest Real Estate Investment Fund. The CFA charterholder holds a Master of Advanced Studies in Real Estate from the University of Zurich (CUREM), a Bachelor in Business Administration HSG and a Master of Arts in Banking and Finance HSG from the University of St. Gallen and is a qualified architect FH.
Christian Germann started working at Assetimmo at the beginning of April and will take over the operational management of the company from Markus Strauss at the end of June 2020. (bw)
