Cham: Study contract decided for second stage of Papieri site
While the first stage of the Papieri site in Cham (ZG) is under construction, the results of the study commission for three projects of the second stage are now available.
Cham Immobilien AG wants to build two high-rise residential buildings and a replacement for the three-story silo building in the center of the Papieri site in the second construction phase. For this purpose, it carried out a study commission, the results of which have now been published. The contributions of the planning teams are exhibited virtually because of the Corona crisis.
Seven planning teams were invited to take part in the competition, and the evaluation committee recommended three projects for further development. The contribution by Rüssli Architekten from Lucerne was selected as the replacement for the silo building. The building is to house a grocery store and a daycare center on the first floor, with around 1,000 square meters of office space planned for the second floor.
One of the high-rise residential buildings, the new building in construction area K, is to be constructed according to the project contribution of the office Konstrukt from Lucerne. Rental apartments are planned here. For the construction of the second high-rise residential building (building area I), in which condominiums are planned, the project of Huggenbergerfries from Zurich was selected for further processing. On 13 floors, 66 apartments are to be accommodated.
On the basis of the contributions, the respective construction submissions or construction projects are now to be developed.
