According to a statement from Garbe Industrial Real Estate, the logistics facility is being built on a total of just under 83,000 square meters of land in the Nördlicher Bodensee industrial park. Preparatory work began in January, and now the construction phase is underway.

The new distribution center will have a hall area of around 9,600 square meters and approximately 1,500 square meters of office and social space. In the future, Amazon intends to deliver packages from its own logistics and sorting centers to its customers in the Lake Constance region as last-mile deliveries.

According to Garbe Industrial Real Estate, an important criterion for the location decision was the good transport links. Messkirch is located in the center of the conurbations of Munich, Stuttgart and Zurich, offers short distances to the highway and has a direct connection to the intersection of the two federal highways 311 and 313.  (ah)
