Altenrhein: Stadler leases for another ten years
Stadler Rheintal and the Swisscanto fund Swiss Commercial have extended the existing rental agreement at the Altenrhein (SG) plant by ten years.

Stadler Rheintal AG will occupy around 32,000 sqm of industrial and commercial space on the Werkplatz Altenrhein site, which belongs to the Swisscanto (CH) Real Estate Fund Swiss Commercial, for the next ten years. The rental contract for almost all the space, whose lease would have expired in 2021, has been extended at current market conditions until the end of 2030, Swisscanto reports. The background to this is that Stadler needs additional production capacity for the newly built plant in St. Margrethen in Eastern Switzerland due to a growing volume of orders.
According to Swisscanto, the occupancy rate of the Altenrhein site now exceeds 90% with the extension of the contract. Swiss Commercial fund manager Patrick Schmid said that this follow-up solution would strengthen the fund's long-term earnings stability. The tenants of Werkplatz Altenrhein are diverse, with Stadler having been the most important user of the site for years. (ah)
