CS Investment Foundation builds in Chiasso
As of February 1, 2016, the CSA Real Estate Switzerland investment group of Credit Suisse Investment Foundation acquired the property at the corner of Via Maestri Comancini and Via degli Albrici in Chiasso from the municipality of Chiasso. A Vitadomo senior center, rental apartments, commercial space and a public underground car park are to be built there by 2019.
CSA Real Estate Switzerland is the investor and developer of the planned superstructure, with an investment volume of around CHF 72 million.
The site, with an area of a good 7,800 sqm, is centrally located, just a few minutes' walk from Chiasso train station. Embedded in a park-like green area, two seven-story mixed-use buildings are to be built. These include a Vitadomo senior center with 90 apartments of various sizes and with 30 single nursing rooms, operated by Vitadomo AG, a company of the Tertianum Group. The complex is completed by 48 rental apartments, commercial space on the first floor and a public parking garage with 351 parking spaces.
The construction project has been approved and will be realized by the total contractor Implenia Svizzera SA. Construction will start in spring 2016, and occupation of the apartments and commercial premises as well as the senior center is planned for mid-2019. (ah)
