Interlaken: Start of construction for the Station West project
Construction has begun on the Station West residential and commercial development by Varem AG on Rugenparkstrasse in Interlaken.
At Interlaken West station, directly next to the BLS railway line, a new building with a building volume of 51,400 m3 is being constructed on a plot of around 3,100 sqm.
The large-scale project in a central location will house condominiums and rental apartments as well as retail, office and commercial space; the Bernese firm Jordi + Partner is responsible for the architecture. Construction work is expected to last until 2023. (ah)
