The Netrics Group was previously the anchor tenant in the data center in Biel's Bözingenfeld industrial area. It has its offices in the building and also produces important parts of its IT and cloud services there.
The data center in Biel is connected to a fiber optic backbone and thus designed for geo-redundant scenarios with maximum reliability, according to HRS and Netrics. It is classified as Tier III+, guarantees an availability of almost 100% and is particularly energy-efficient. With the acquisition of the data center, Netrics expands its own infrastructure by 3,000 square meters of space.
Data centers continue to be regarded as a growth segment in Switzerland as digitization progresses. According to Martin Kull, CEO and owner, HRS sees great potential in the data center market. (ah)
