Sion: Start of construction for new quarter
HRS Real Estate has started work on the Cour de Gare development in Sion (Sion/VS). A city quarter with hotel and congress hall is being built.
The realization phase for the "Cour de Gare" project began in Sion at the beginning of February. A new quarter is planned in the immediate vicinity of the station. It is to function as a "hub" between the historic city and the Ronquoz 21 district located south of the SBB tracks, as the city of Sion announced on the occasion of the building permit in the fall of 2020. Investor of the project is the investment group CSA Real Estate Switzerland. HRS Real Estate has been commissioned with the realization of the project; Comptoir Immobilier with the marketing.
According to HRS Real Estate, a total of six buildings will house 302 apartments, commercial space and offices, stores and a parking garage with 625 parking spaces. In addition, a hotel with 100 rooms and a concert and congress hall designed for 600 people are also to be built on the "Cour de Gare" site; restaurants, cafés and bars are also planned.
If everything goes according to plan, the new buildings should be inaugurated in 2024. (bw)
