Basel: Hotel Märthof opens in July
On July 28, the Bâle Hotels Group, which is part of the Coop Group, plans to open the four-star Hotel Märthof on Marktplatz in Basel.
The "Märthof" property at Marktgasse 19 in Basel was previously home to the electronics retailer Interdiscount. The hotel group Bâle Hotels, which belongs to the Coop Group, has converted the property into a four-star upper-class hotel.
The result is 68 rooms and junior suites, a fitness room and wellness area, a banquet room on the 6th floor, and a restaurant with bar and boulevard terrace. According to Bâle Hotels, the hotel is scheduled to open on July 28, 2021.
The hotel group already operates the Hotel Pullman Basel Europe on Clarastrasse and the Hotel Victoria on Centralbahnplatz in Basel.
