New board members for Orascom
Orascom Development Holding announces changes to its Board of Directors: Adil Douiri and Marco Sieber are no longer available for re-election, instead Barbara Heller, Amine Omar Tazi-Riffi and Eskandar Tooma are to be elected to the board.

Barbara Heller (Swiss, born 1967) is co-founder and has been Managing Partner of SWIPRA Services since 2013. The company advises companies and their boards of directors in the areas of corporate governance, corporate social responsibility, communication and disclosure. Heller also holds mandates as a member of the Bank Council and the Strategy Committee of Graubündner Kantonalbank and as a member of the Investment Commission of Transparenta Sammelstiftung für berufliche Vorsorge, among others, and is also Vice President of the CFO Forum Switzerland. Until the end of March 2021, Heller was a member of the Board of Directors and Chairwoman of the Audit Committee of Bank Cler.
Amine Omar Tazi-Riffi (Swiss, born 1970) is a former senior partner at McKinsey in Geneva and Zurich and currently works as an independent consultant, private equity investor and board member. During his nearly 25-year career at McKinsey, he founded McKinsey's North and West Africa practice and was subsequently responsible for its expansion on the African continent. He was also co-head of various global divisions there. Today, Tazi-Riffi is a Senior Advisor at GlobalSouth Partners, Advisory & Investments in Dubai, working with private equity platforms in the Middle East and Africa. He is the founder and Executive Chairman of Rolling Laser Solutions and a member of various boards of directors.
Eskandar Tooma (Egyptian, born 1977) is a full professor of finance at the School of Business at the American University in Cairo. He has also held a visiting professorship at Imperial College's Business School in London. Tooma was previously a member of Orascom's Board of Directors from 2013 to 2016 and served as the company's Chief Financial Officer ad interim from 2013 to 2016. Tooma was a senior advisor to the Egyptian Capital Markets Authority from 2005 to 2007. In recent years, he sat as a non-executive director on the boards of several EGX/LSE-listed companies, including Telecom Egypt, Vodafone Egypt and Egyptian Resorts Company. He also serves on the supervisory board of HSBC Egypt's money market fund. (ah)
