Starting in 2022, Senn Resources AG from St. Gallen plans to build a total of 72 residential units at Badenerstrasse 688 in Altstetten, including 38 rental apartments with one-and-a-half to three-and-a-half rooms and 34 condominiums with one-and-a-half to four-and-a-half rooms. The residential project is scheduled for completion in 2025.

The project is intended to offer a dense yet open, small-scale ensemble of houses, according to Senn Resources. The tallest of the planned buildings, a ten-storey building, will be located directly on Badenerstrasse at the corner of Segnesstrasse. The ground floor use there will offer commercial, gastronomy and retail space, it says. Like the daily advertiser reports, the project cleared a first hurdle in mid-April and was granted an exemption in terms of noise protection. (mr/ah)
