Manoutchehr Khanlari, participating business manager, says about the location Gstaad: "Interested parties of various origin, especially from France, England, Belgium, Italy, but also from the USA, the Middle East or Russia, have the explicit wish to get into possession of typical apartments or chalets. The existing renowned international institutes, such as Le Rosey and JFK Schools, form an additional argument for families with children to establish themselves here."

"Investing in real estate in Gstaad has proven to be value-proof for more than 60 years," adds David McCrimmon, participating managing director. Prices have risen steadily, he said, and today reach CHF 65,000/sq. m. in the Oberbort neighborhood with the Grandhotels Alpina and Gstaad Palace, for example. On average, he said, rates are between CHF 30,000 and 35,000/sq m, which corresponds to an average transaction price of five to seven million CHF.

According to Teresa Astorina, Chairman of VIP Real Estate AG, holder of the John Taylor Suisse master license, the John Taylor brand is to be expanded throughout Switzerland, especially in the "most popular destinations of an exclusive and international clientele".

The John Taylor Group was founded in 1864 by John Taylor in Cannes and acquired by the Pastor Group in 1996. The network comprises 20 agencies in eleven countries. In Switzerland, John Taylor is active not only in Gstaad but also in Geneva. (ah)
