Trift plans new housing estate in Horgen
Trift Bewirtschaftung von Grundstücken AG wants to redevelop its properties on Bergstrasse in Horgen. The plan is to build a neighborhood with more than 80 rental apartments for people of different ages and incomes.

On the southern parcel "Fischenrüti", Zach+Zünd Architekten is building five residential buildings, each with ten apartments on three floors. Directly next to "Fischenrüti", on the "Kuppe", six houses grouped around an oval square are being built by Esch Sintzel Architekten. Each house contains six apartments. Two wash houses with bicycle stands are included.
The old ensemble with barn, gardener's house and wash house at Bergstrasse 78/80 is the heart of Trift Horgen. It is being developed by neon-bureau into a "center" with a neighborhood pub, store and hall. Only rental apartments will be built. The buildings comply with the goals of the 2,000-watt society.
All buildings of Trift Horgen will be accessed from Bergstrasse, so that the residential complexes will remain free of vehicular traffic. A reduced number of parking spaces will be concentrated in the existing parking area south of the "Mitte".
The building applications for the three sites were submitted in March, and building permits are expected in the fall of 2016. (ah)
