m3 Real Estate: New player, high growth targets
m3 Real Estate is a new player in the Swiss real estate sector. The Geneva-based company emerged from CGi Immobilier, but has realigned its strategy. It sees itself as a private banker in the real estate sector.
The company structure consists of three business units: Property (management), Sales (brokerage) and Advisory. The Advisory division was newly created to provide specific advice to individual customers on their investment strategy.
The sole shareholder of m3 Real Estate is Abdallah Chatila, who acquired all shares of CGi Immobilier in August 2016. Teresa Astorina serves as managing director.
Branch office planned in Zurich
Chatila has ambitious growth targets for m3: The company is already established in the Geneva market, he says. "Therefore, I feel the desire to further develop my company here and, by opening a branch in Zurich through the acquisition of a management agency, to optimize proximity to institutional investors who want to invest in real estate."
Chatila goes on to say that m3 currently manages rental income of nearly CHF 150 million. He says the goal is to increase this amount to CHF 350 million within two years, in part through the acquisition of a Geneva-based management agency. (ah)
