Corpus Sireo: Swiss Life subsidiary gets new CEO
Bernhard Berg, currently Managing Director of Hannover Leasing, will join Corpus Sireo Holding on June 1, 2016. He will become CEO and Spokesman of the Management Board of the company, which is part of the Swiss Life Group.

Bernhard Berg (57) succeeds Ralph Günther in this position, who will take over as Chairman of the company's Supervisory Board after seven years as CEO of Corpus Sireo.
"We are delighted to have gained Bernhard Berg, an internationally experienced leader, particularly from the institutional sector, for Corpus Sireo," says Stefan Mächler, Group Chief Investment Officer of Swiss Life and current Chairman of the Corpus Sireo Supervisory Board.
Berg has around 25 years of experience in the insurance industry in various positions. Most recently, he worked for Hannover Leasing Investment GmbH in Pullach near Munich for two years. As Managing Director, he was responsible for asset acquisition, structuring and sales in the institutional investor segment. From 2010 to 2014, Berg was spokesman for the management of the former IVG Institutional Funds GmbH.
New tasks also for Ralph Günther and Ingo Hartlief
The future Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Berg's predecessor as CEO, Ralph Günther, will also share responsibility for international expansion as Chairman of the Investment Committee Real Estate and member of the Management Committee Real Estate of Swiss Life Asset Managers in Zurich. According to the company, his main task will be to drive forward the integration of Corpus Sireo's business activities with the Swiss Life Group and the expansion of the insurer's cross-border activities in the real estate asset class.
Ingo Hartlief, COO of Corpus Sireo, will become Deputy Spokesman of the Management Board of the Cologne-based company as of June 1, 2016. In this role, Hartlief will be responsible not only for asset management and supporting key clients, but also for setting up a Corpus Sireo capital management company (KVG) in Germany.
Responsibility for the project development and brokerage business will be bundled under Michael Westerhove, who will join the Executive Committee on July 1, 2016. As the new Chief Development Officer (CDO) of Corpus Sireo, Westerhove will also be responsible for development activities in the commercial sector, such as the new Allianz headquarters in Berlin-Adlershof, in addition to the residential property developer. As CFO, Dr. Bernd Wieberneit will continue to be responsible for the majority of the shared services units. (ah)
