Green light for Fortimo hotel project in Lenzerheide
The voters of the municipality of Vaz/Obervaz have approved the rezoning for the construction of a new hotel at the valley station of the Rothorn cable car. Fortimo AG could thus soon realize its new project in Lenzerheide. The building project is now in the approval phase.
The plan is to build a low-cost hotel with 224 beds and a restaurant for a youth target group. The plans for the hotel were drawn up by Carlos Martinez Architekten from Berneck. Construction is scheduled to start this year, with the opening planned for the 2017/18 winter season.
The investment volume for the project entitled "Yolo" is expected to be CHF 14 million. Fortimo AG has already realized the Privà Alpine Lodge and the Canols staff house in Lenzerheide. Further new houses under the "Privà" and "Yolo" brands are also in preparation. (mr)
