Zurich: Albisrieden open-air warehouse nears completion
The Zürcher Freilager AG housing development in Albisrieden is scheduled for completion before the end of this year. The company invested CHF 360 million in the neighborhood.
Zürcher Freilager AG is building 796 apartments and 200 apartments for students on the site. In addition, there are various commercial spaces, such as a neighborhood store, a medical center and a restaurant, as well as a kindergarten.
According to the company, 72 percent (573 units) of the apartments had been leased as of the beginning of April 2016, and a further 45 apartments had been reserved. Completion of the buildings is still taking several months, and the handover of the apartments to tenants is taking place in stages until the final occupancy dates in December 2016.
Axa Leben AG, as majority shareholder, and a further 217 shareholders hold shares in Freilager AG, Zurich. In addition to the Freilager Zurich construction project, the company also holds the Embraport in Embrach (ZH) and a logistics property in Münchenstein (BL). (ah)
