New 180-room hotel in Grenzach-Wyhlen
In the border triangle of Switzerland, Germany and France, the construction of a new hotel including a boarding house is planned. The hostel in the category of three stars or higher is to be realized in the German municipality of Grenzach-Wyhlen.
According to various German media, Toka Immobilien GmbH, a subsidiary of Belgium's Koramic Real Estate N. V., is planning a 180-room hotel and a boarding house with 110 residential units. The plan is to build a tiered new property up to ten stories high near the Swiss border.
Construction work is scheduled to start in the summer of next year and be completed by the end of 2018. The designs for the new building come from the offices of K9 Architekten (Freiburg im Breisgau) and Herzog (Lörrach). The owners of the envisaged building site are the municipality of Grenzach-Wyhlen and the Federal Republic of Germany. (mr)
