Mövenpick: Olivier Chavy becomes new CEO

Olivier Chavy becomes the new CEO of Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts. He will take over from Jean-Gabriel Pérès in September 2016.

Chavy, 52, has 28 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including serving as "International Head, Global Brand Performance of Luxury & Lifestyle Brands" for Hilton Worldwide. He is currently President and Chief Executive Officer of Wilson Associates, an interior architecture and design firm.

Chavy holds a master's degree in business administration, a diploma from ESSEC Business School and a BA in hotel management. He holds American and French citizenship.

His predecessor at MH&R, Jean-Gabriel Pérès, had already announced at the beginning of the year that he would step down from his role as CEO. He had worked for the company for 17 years. (ah)
