The 7,500 sqm Bucher site is located in the center of Burgdorf, between Gotthelfstrasse and Gysnauweg and only a few minutes' walk from the train station. Here, the developers Stiftung Abendrot and Asari Immobilien AG are building a new residential complex, with Halter AG acting as general contractor. After construction work began at the beginning of the month, the laying of the foundation stone on August 19 marked the start of erection work on the shell of the building.
The new development will complement the already renovated historic buildings on the Bucher site: Four apartment buildings and an extension to the existing shed hall as well as a parking garage with 55 parking spaces will be built. In the residential buildings, a total of 79 family and small apartments will be built on up to eight floors, including a cluster apartment and residential studios on the first floor. Around Bucher Square, communal spaces are planned to enliven the area. A photovoltaic system is also planned to produce enough electricity for the new buildings' own consumption. The apartments are expected to be ready for occupancy in May 2023. (ah)
