Implenia: Building construction in Austria goes to Zech
Implenia is continuing its strategy of focusing on its core business and is divesting its Austrian building construction business. Zech Bau Austria intends to acquire the division.
Implenia's building construction business in Austria comprises 54 employees and various projects. It is to be sold to Zech Bau Austria GmbH, a company of the Zech Group. According to Implenia, the relevant agreement has already been signed and operational responsibility for the business is to be transferred to the new owner on 31 October 2021. Individual projects that are in the execution phase are to be completed under Implenia's responsibility by the existing project teams.
The sale follows Implenia's strategy of continuing to focus on its defined core portfolio. In future, the Group intends to focus on construction and real estate services in Switzerland and Germany, as well as tunnel construction and related infrastructure projects in other markets.
