According to Westhive, in the third quarter of this year, it recorded 34% more turnover than in the same quarter last year. In terms of the number of new office lettings, it has surpassed its previous best quarter by 20%. In addition to the strong increase in demand for flexible office space, the booking of meeting rooms and the event business also contributed to the growth.

According to Andreas Widmer, co-founder of Westhive, the company is receiving more requests from companies looking for space for larger teams of 20 to 100 people. Many companies today are looking for a flexible and simple solution to meet their workplace needs and are turning to coworking spaces. The flexible office spaces would either serve as a supplement to their own offices or even completely replace a dedicated location.

Meanwhile, Westhive remains on course for expansion: Westhive Stettbach Mitte in Zurich is set to open in February 2022, with further locations in Zug and Basel to follow in the summer. In 2023, the coworking space in Geneva Pont-Rouge will be launched. The Zurich location Hardturm is to be expanded on a large scale in February 2022. (ah)
