The former industrial site of Holcim in Brunnen North, located between the railroad station and the center of Brunnen, is to become a new neighborhood. As part of the first stage, four residential buildings with a total of 101 rental apartments are being built on construction site B1 under the name Nova Port. The developer of the properties is a real estate fund of Credit Suisse Asset Management.

According to HRS Real Estate, the buildings will be staggered, and green open spaces will be created between the houses. In addition, the embankment along the Muota river basin will be raised to create a pedestrian and bicycle path. Platforms will also be built along the dam path to make the Muota accessible. Construction is scheduled to start in the spring of 2022. Construction work on the first stage is expected to take about two and a half years. (ah)
