Dietlikon: Coca-Cola opens Visitor Center
Coca-Cola Switzerland has opened a Visitor Center in Dietlikon. Visitors are given a two-hour interactive tour - including information panels, videos, quizzes and a tour of the bottling plant - to learn interesting facts about the company and the beverage.
According to Coca-Cola Switzerland, highlights of the Visitor Center include a freestyle drink mix machine with more than 100 flavors and the Coke Jump, which creates a 360° video of visitors. The Visitor Center in Dietlikon/Brüttisellen is located just a few minutes' walk from Dietlikon train station.
Likewise, the country's first high-speed PET bottling line of its kind goes into full operation in Dietlikon. The plant, in which Coca-Cola invested around CHF 18 million, produces 42,000 half-liter PET bottles per hour.
Coca-Cola has been present in Switzerland since 1936 and employs over 900 people. In 2015, around 420 million liters of beverages were bottled at the two production sites in Dietlikon and Vals, accounting for 82 percent of all Coca-Cola Switzerland products sold in Switzerland. (ah)
