Implenia is to build the first sustainability and innovation campus in North Rhine-Westphalia as general contractor (GC). The Euref Campus in Düsseldorf will be used for research into energy, mobility, environmental protection and climate protection technology from 2024. A total of 105,000 square meters of gross floor area and 719 parking spaces in an underground garage will be built in two construction phases.

The tenants of the first construction phase, which is scheduled to be ready for occupancy by mid-2024, are the state company NRW Energy4Climate, Schneider Electric, Spie Germany & Central Europe and Klüh Service Management. A Mobility Hub is to follow as the second construction phase by mid-2025. Here, tenants such as Inno2Grid, PEM Motion, H2 Mobility Deutschland and Nevomo want to test new forms of mobility and present them in showrooms. In addition, the hub will serve as a transfer point for commuters and passengers; a take-off and landing area for air cabs and delivery drones is also planned. The campus also includes an indoor garden, event space and a restaurant.

Representatives of Implenia, Euref AG and the city of Düsseldorf signed the JV contract for the project at the Mipim real estate fair in Cannes. According to Implenia, the project is worth CHF 186 million or EUR 181 million. In order to meet the ambitious schedule, the construction company announces that it will be working with a BIM model and a lean cycle plan for execution from the very beginning.

Euref already operates an innovation campus in Berlin. In recent years, more than 150 companies with 5,000 employees have settled there on a 5.5-hectare site in the Tempelhof-Schöneberg district. (ah)
