SIF cracks the billion mark

The Steiner Investment Foundation is satisfied with the course of the 2021 financial year. With over one billion in invested capital, a milestone has been reached, according to the investment foundation.

The two investment groups of the Steiner Investment Foundation (SIF) show respectable returns: The Swiss Development Residential investment group returned 9.69%, while the Swiss Development Commercial investment group generated a return of 6.46%. The market value of SIF's properties amounts to CHF 1.16 billion.

A total of four capital issues raised CHF 342 million in investor funds last year; the funds were fully invested. SIF made six acquisitions in 2021, including a property on Hohlstrasse in Zurich. The property, which covers a good 4,000 sqm, is to be developed by 2029. Other highlights from SIF's perspective were the acquisition of the UBS property on Aeschenplatz in Basel and the purchase of the Florissant development project in Geneva. At the end of the year, the portfolio comprised a total of 39 projects, 36 of which were in the Swiss Development Residential investment group. (ah)
