Large rental in the Suurstoffi
Utopia Music rents 4,500 sqm of space on the Suurstoffi site in Risch-Rotkreuz. This significantly reduces the vacancy rate, reports owner Zug Estates.
Zug Estates AG and Utopia Music have signed the lease agreement for 4,500 sqm of space and with a term of ten years on June 10, 2022, the real estate company writes in an ad hoc release. Utopia Music is currently based in Zug and will lease the entire Suurstoffi 6 property on the Suurstoffi site in Risch Rotkreuz as of July. Thanks to the rental, the vacancy rate will be significantly reduced, Zug Estates said.
According to Markku Mäkeläinen, CEO of Utopia Music, the fact that the properties meet high sustainability criteria was an important reason for the lease: "Utopia's mission is to improve the world of the music industry. Essentially, this includes being aware of our impact on the environment. As one of the most environmentally friendly buildings in Switzerland, Suurstoffi 6 is in line with our company's values."
Completed in 2020, the seven-story Suurstoffi 6 building is a wood-hybrid construction. The timber construction can be operated almost CO2-free due to the site's own energy system. It is one of three buildings on construction site 1, which is also home to the Zug-Rotkreuz campus of Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. In total, Zug Estates is developing living and working space for 1,400 residents, 2,000 students and over 2,500 employees on the Suurstoffi site. (ah)
