Residential real estate: FSO price index rises significantly in Q2
The Swiss Federal Statistical Office's Swiss Residential Property Price Index (IMPI) increased by 2.7% in Q2.

Compared with the same period last year, inflation in residential real estate in the 2nd quarter of 2022 was 7.5%. This is according to figures from the Swiss Federal Statistical Office (SFSO). In the second quarter of 2022, both the prices of single-family houses (+2.0%) and those of condominiums (+3.3%) increased compared to the previous quarter, in Switzerland as a whole. In the case of single-family houses, prices in urban municipalities of a small or outside an agglomeration increased particularly significantly(+4.4%). A decrease in the prices of single-family houses was recorded only in the urban municipalities of medium-sized agglomerations (-0.3%). The condominium market segment shows higher prices than in the first quarter of 2022 in all types of municipalities. The strongest price increase took place in the category of urban municipalities of a large agglomeration (+6.0%). (aw)
